Dinner with Artesano Del Tobacco

Indulge in an exquisite evening of flavors and sophistication at our Cigar Dinner!

Savor the rich taste of authentic cuban cuisine paired with a selection of premium cigars. Chef Ariel Alvarez will curate a menu that compliments a selection of cigars from Artesano Del Tobacco.

Billy and Gus Fakih will be on hand to introduce their Viva La Vida and El Pulpo cigar lines. Viva la Vida, a Nicaraguan cigar brand, was launched in the U.S. market in 2019. Created by Artesano del Tabaco and cigarmaker A.J. Fernandez, the cigars are rolled in Nicaragua from an all-Nicaraguan blend. Artesano Del Tobacco and AJ Fernandez are extremely excited and very proud to share the creation of El Pulpo by Artesano Del Tobacco. This cigar translates to “The Octopus” in English. The project began back in 2016 and has taken years to perfect. AJ Fernandez used different blending techniques, fermentation, and an aging process that led to the creation of the El Pulpo by Artesano Del Tobacco.

Billy & Gus Fakih - Artesano Del Tobacco

Artesano del Tabacco is a company formed by Billy and Gus Fakih, two brothers who owned and ran the two Cigar Inn stores on the east side of Manhattan. It’s a boutique cigar company that mixes art, passion and flavor to enhance the cigar smoking experience.

The Fakihs were in the cigar retail trade for 23 years, from 1992 to 2015. Billy Fakih told Cigar Aficionado that he and his brother Gus got to know A.J. Fernandez while running the stores, particularly Fernandez’s San Lotano brand.

Chef Ariel Alvarez - Los Tres Cubanos

Chef Alvarez has worked as corporate chef with La Bodeguita Del Medio, a well-known restaurant in Havana, Cuba with franchises around the globe. Alvarez helped to open many of those international franchises.

He has also worked at restaurants throughout Cuba and Miami including Restaurant Casa Cuba and Savor Miami Restaurant. He was trained in Cuba and Switzerland.

Billy Morrison - Lounge 611

Billy is the Owner and General Manager of Lounge 611 in Mechanicsburg, PA. Billy created 611 as an upscale, sophisticated space with plush seating ambient lighting, and a curated selection of premium cigars.

The refined atmosphere harkens back to the luxurious lounge cars of the railroad boom. The space is a retreat for connoisseurs to savor their cigars in style.
